Ocular Surface Disease
Ocular Surface diseases are disorders of the surface of the cornea. These include Meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis, chemical burns, immunological conditions such as Mucous membrane pemphigoid and sjogren’s syndrome, rosaceous, allergies, scarring from glaucoma medications and thermal burns.
Treatment Options:
- Drops
- Punctual plugs
- Amniotic membrane graft
- In long standing cases ocular surface reconstruction surgery like limbal stem cell transplant is performed
- Lid margin mucous membrane graft
- Scleral lenses are done in severe cases of dry eye

- Conjunctival graft with fibrin glue (sutureless)
- Surface excimer laser.
